Welcome to Maj-Britt Mathiesen's web site. Maj-Britt is a professionally trained actress from the Lee Strasberg Institute and William Esper Studio in New York plus the Arts Academy in Skt. Petersburg. Maj-Britt consistantly studies with the internationally acclaimed director and Method expert Debra Wiley from Juilliard, New York.

Maj-Britt also works as a producer. Currently for Ditte Maria Bjerg and her theatre GLOBAL STORIES.
October they will present preliminary work on a lecture performance about surrogacy in Frankfurt.

Maj-Britt is together with Annette Max Hansen the co-founder of Eklektisk Theatre Produktion – eklektisk.dk A theatre that mainly collaborates with international artists and seeks to tell stories that focus on diversity and some the dilemmas of modern society, and perveay experiences about tolerance, the responsibility of humanity in a modern world full of paradoxes.

Maj-Britt and eklektisk also organize work shops and talks with and for international artists. Lately in collaboration with The State Theatre School post grad. program in talks about ART AS ROOM OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT, RECOGNITION & POSSIBLE REALIZATION Richard Foremann and Willem Dafoe.

As a producer and actress Maj-Britt co-produced RED DRESS with 6 other internationally working female artists. Watch trailer RED DRESS had world premier April 7th 2010 at Ny Aveny Theatre, Copenhagen. After that it will go on tour. For more info see www. Sophiehaviland.com

At the moment Maj-Britt is the producer of taking the play Lenon in Thy t by Vibeke Hastrup to New York and curating the opening of the new culture house - Kulturværftet in Elsinore.

Later this year Maj-Britt will play in the world premier of THE DREAMERS by Karen Blixen at Hamlet Scenen - Kronborg. Directed by Lars Romann Engel.
