MAJ-BRITT MATHIESEN

Maj-Britt Mathiesen is a Danish actress and creative producer.

She stars in DR's series KRAG & VIRKNER as the legendary fashionjournalist Didder Rønlund and in Christoffer Boe's recent film; TASTE OF HUNGER. In recent years Maj-Britt starred in the Danish tv drama HERRENS VEJE produced by DR (with Lars Mikkelsen in the lead role) and in MEN & HENS with Mads Mikkelsen. She also appeared in the TV 2 series RITA, the DR series NÅR STØVET HAR LAGT SIG, GRÆNSELAND, THE BRIDGE, and the Netflix series EQUINOX and THE RAIN and more.

Previously she has been starring in films such as Oscar winning director Susanne Bier's BROTHERS, Anders Thomas Jensen's MEN AND CHICKEN, and Christoffer Boe's GLISTRUP & SPIES.

Maj-Britt Mathiesen is educated in Cph, NYC and St. Petersburg, and since she lived and worked in Paris, Berlin and London, she speaks and acts in; danish, englisk, german and french.

In addition to performing she was been appointed by the Danish Minister of Culture as chairwoman of The Art Council "Working Grants for the Performing Art". Furthermore she is curating Masterclasses with international artists for the Danish National School of Performing Arts.

HERRENS VEJE (DR TV)

Maj-Britt Mathiesen stars in the Danish television drama HERRENS VEJE as the modern priest "Lotte" playing alongside actor Lars Mikkelsen and others. Two seasons of the series has been commissioned by The Danish Broadcasting Cooperation (DR) in cooperation with ARTE France.

RITA (TV 2 DENMARK)

Maj-Britt Mathiesen appears in the Danish television series on TV 2 Danmark RITA (season 4).
She is playing a medical doctor working for Médecins Sans Frontières.

THE RAIN (NETFLIX)

Maj-Britt Mathiesen appears as a medical doctor being murdered in the American tv series The Rain commissioned by Netflix. The series revolves around an assassin specialising in making his hits look like they have died from natural causes.
